My girlfriend is Chinese. Her English is masterful, but she thinks in Chinese and her feelings are in Chinese. I got these earbuds so she could speak to me in the language of her heart to see if I could get to know her even better. It worked better than imagined! Her happiness is immeasurable!! Additionally, due to hearing her speak to me in her native tongue with her native tones and inflections, I fell in love with her all over again. Best purchase ever!!!
This is exactly what I needed to teach a group in their own language during in person sessions. You do have to learn to pause at the end of each paragraph so the translation can catch up but that's not hard to do. I just take two breaths and then its caught up. I am so glad this technology exists! I thought my only option was a translator before I found this gadget.

So far I haven't used it much but from when I used it. It's been a great to have., I'm planning a big trip soon and I would love to use it. The only thing I would like to have an option is more languages to be downloaded offline or to be used offline., even if that option was offered to be purchased, I think it's a great way to make more money for the Creator and helpful for the customers.,

Set up was straightforward with instruction and prompts.. (she did have a pilot recommend who also helped in getting started.. so, I must mention that!) Trial results: stated it can feel intimidating to trust and yet, she found it best just to try in real time- ordering from restaurant in France, as the waiter spoke she had less than 1/2 sec delay in the earbud, repeating everything in English! Said in noisy restaurant.. They provided solid sound quality and removed ambient noise brilliantly!!
Another big perk- she loves she can ask a question and have it translated in her words but, with an accent, so it's easier for recipient to understand- didn't realize how much that would help! Lastly, she it's been using to help her learn a second language- and added bonus no one saw coming! Could be helpful for any taking foreign language class(?!)
2 part case is unique but, manageable.. these charge easy enough but, best to do so often so, they are fully ready when needed. Works without WiFi but, does lose some features.. to be expected. A solid gift that delivers impressive results. See pics for visual. Hoping this info can help- be safe.

I ordered these Timekettle W4 Plus AI Translator Earbuds to test their real-time translation capabilities, and they work surprisingly well despite a noticeable delay in the Spanish-to-English mode. While I was able to understand the conversation, that lag makes quick back-and-forth dialogue a little challenging. Occasionally, a few words would be missed or mistranslated, which usually happened when the speaker was soft or there was background noise. After spending some time investigating how these work, I found that they do not work without a data connection of some kind, whether via Wi-Fi or cellular data. This need for a connection led me to investigate where my conversations were being sent, and as far as I can tell, it was being sent via the required app to a translation-related online source. Not a big deal for my everyday conversations, but it would be nice to have some kind of warning about your conversations being shared. There is also an option to download a an offline translation engine per language, which presumably would give desired privacy, but that mode seemed a bit slower and less fluent. The app has several modes which worked well, including a transcription, media translation, and one-on-one where you share one of the earbuds with a conversation partner, but that seemed a little awkward with someone you don't know well. Overall, these are a pretty cool piece of tech and I like them, and considering the advanced features included with the one-time purchase, it is a good value.
The device is very easy to use. It's simplicity however gives the impression that it is a bit over priced. It's great that the Chinese English offline package comes with it. I would recommend including pinyin with the Chinese translations.

Since I've made this purchase I've used them a number of times including using the voicecall feature where I spoke to a native portuguese speaker. We were able to communicate and understand each other pretty well. I was surprised how good the translation was in realtime compared to the old days

Hi, so first of all i want to say i only tried the translation from listening to hearing. And not 2-way conversation yet.
So after close to 2 years i am trying to learn German. Mind you 2 universities teach it but as a subject not as just a language learning. And any other learning facilities are either French or English due to the PR process focusing on French applicants.
So i was doubtful of the TimeKettle headphones at first. Due to the high price. And my lack in doing Duolingo was failing me. As i barely understood what they wanted out of me without hinting because there could be multiple answers. So you grt my dilemma.
So bringing these headphones to Germany and i will update my review. As mind you Hamburg and Dusseldorf ain't a lot of English speakers 😭. And french is not helping me.
