Fluentalk T1 Mini Handheld Translator Bundle
LAWRENCE LEUNG (Markham, CA)
Love this small device

Very useful device that is fun to play with. It does a very good job translating all common languages. Be aware that all foul languages are not translated. What I like to see improved is the ability not to activate the 365 days world wide free wi-fi. I am not travelling for a few months but once you start testing out your new device, the timer starts.

Unimpressed

The MIC is weak, the interpretation, is too slow. The person talking must use grammatically correct sentences at a snails pace in order for the buds to work effectively.

User experience

Fantastic device but there's still room for improvement on
1) Better battery life
2) Offline translation should be across the board
3) Secondary app on phone

My 2 cents

Great product, exactly what I need.

I haven't had chance to use it abroad yet, but the size and usage look perfect for me. I've tried to translate between two languages that I know, the translation is not perfect but good enough for communication with the language that you don't know or you are not good at. Great help when traveling around the world.

Malo

El mayor defecto es que cuando traduce una palabra anti sonante la voz de la traducción dice: asterisco asterisco asterisco asterisco asterisco, y retrasa mucho el tiempo de la traducción, si se pudiera desactivar esa opción la aplicación sería muy bu9

IT DOES ITS FUNCTION

IF IT DOES ITS FUNCTION BUT ON OCCASIONS IT DOES NOT TRANSLATE VERY WELL, YOU HAVE TO SPEAK LOUD, CLEAR AND SLOW AND GIVE TIME FOR THE HEADPHONE TO TRANSMIT THE MESSAGE.

TRY NOT TO USE IDIOMS THAT HAVE NO TRANSLATION AND BE CONCRETE IN WHAT YOU WANT TO BE TRANSLATED.

Great device

I'm taking a trip to Thailand in June and this should make things easier for me. I tested it at the Asian Market near my home and the people that spoke various languages loved it. I used it to communicate with a woman from China, the woman at the register spoke Korean and she thought it was fun to use.

T1 mini

Haven’t used it abroad yet but seems to do translating okay

Well done

Work very fine. It would be a way to regulate the sensitivity of the mike.. I have to add a external mike to my iPhone. But works very fine. Need more packages off line

The device is amazing, I have never seen or used anything like it!

Good translator

The Fluentalk T1 is a good translator. No complaints so far. Seems pretty accurate for my usage. My only gripe is the battery. It’s use time and standby time, particularly the standby time, needs improvement.

Does it deliver on the promise of real-time translation?

Do the WT2 Edge deliver on the real-time translation? For Mandarin Chinese, the answer is, sometimes. While it's clearly better than Google Translate, and offers a more immersive experience, they are not without fault.

So far so good!!

So far the device is doing exactly what we hoped it would. We are still figuring out some of the details. We are planning a trip to Scotland and France in September. It will be very helpful in France. I don't think anything can help us figure out what the Scotts are saying. (;-)

Works Great!

Not being able to learn a second language I bought these for work. I have only casually tried these out in Russian and Portugese (and a NickTunes in Mexican-USA Spanish) and they have been fabuous. I am thinkning I should get the off line service as I was on a plane with someone who could not speak English and as I did not have off line service, I could not use them. Otherwise they are fabulous for what little I was able to do with them. Still to be seen if they will work in a professional setting.
